Paying it back
Over the past three years through October to December I have donated a portion of profits to worthwhile causes in the North East. The last two years my focus has been on local homeless charities and food banks. However after seeing the dramatic increase in demand for these support services in just 12 months I've decided there is still more we can do. As a result I will now donate a portion of all sales year round to my local shelters and food banks.
I've chosen to publicly announce this policy, because even as a small business based in the North East of England I have noticed how much of a difference our donations make and want to actively encourage everyone to help out in some small way where ever they can. We are all just a few bad decisions/mistakes or situations away from being in a similar situation and as the system fails, and government support is simply inadequate, we are called upon again to dip into our pockets, or wardrobes or kitchen cupboards to help our neighbours and communities.
I am extremely thankful to all my customers who support Good Day Organics and allow us to do a little bit to help those in our local community. I'll add more news in the coming weeks.
